EDGE CAMP
Thank you to all of those who supported our young people attending EDGE Camp this year. Please keep all the campers, volunteers, priests and staff in your prayers for a spiritually fruitful and safe week at camp. Thank you!
MINISTRY WITH MATURING ADULTS
Christian Meditation meets on Tuesday mornings at 10:30 a.m. We will meet online on the first, second and fourth week of the month and in person in St. Joseph’s Room on the 3rd Tuesday of the month. If you are interested in learning more about this form of prayer please contact Catherine Ecker. (cecker@archtoronto.org or 705 728 2985 ext. 115) The next session is online on Tuesday September 7th at 10:30 a.m. All are welcome.
Life Story Writing Program: September 2021 - We will offer this six-week program beginning Monday September 20th. The sessions will be held in person from 2:00 – 3:30 p.m. Registration is required. For details please contact Catherine Ecker at cecker@archtoronto.org or call 705 728 2985 ext. 115.
Counselling Opportunity
Clint Tyler, MSW, is on staff in the parish to provide individual and couple counseling, each Thursday. Due to the current pandemic, all appointments are administered over the phone. To make an appointment please call Susan in the parish office at ext. 101 or email stmarysba@archtoronto.org.
Prayer for Reconciliation
Holy One, Creator of all that is, seen and unseen,
of story and of song, of heartbeat and of tears
of bodies, souls, voices and all relations:
You are the God of all truth and the way of all reconciliation.
Uphold with your love and compassion all who open their lives
in the sacred sharing of their stories
breathe in us the grace to trust in your loving forgiveness,
that we may face our histories with courage;
touch us through the holy gift of story
that those who speak and those who listen may
behold your redeeming presence;
guide us with holy wisdom to enter through the gates of remorse
that our feet may walk gently and firmly on the way of justice and healing. Amen.

We thank God for the families and young people who have completed the preparation for the sacraments of Confirmation or first Holy Communion. Throughout August, fifty-one of our young people were confirmed and anointed for mission. During the summer months we have welcomed 40 young people to the Lord’s table. Please remember these families in your prayers.
Meetings for Parents regarding Preparation for Confirmation and First Sharing in Holy Communion
In October there will be information meetings for parents wishing to prepare their child to celebrate Confirmation or to prepare for First Holy Communion. Please consult the parish website (https://stmarysba.archtoronto.org) and check the weekly bulletin for pertinent information. Celebrating Confirmation 
On the day of their child’s baptism parents promise to raise their children to keep the commandments that Christ taught us, “To love God and to love our neighbour as ourselves”. As the first teachers of their children parents are intimately involved in the preparation for the celebration of the sacraments.
