Music Ministry at St. Mary's

Black and white image of piano keys with a cross and title of music ministrySince the founding of our parish, music ministry has been an integral part of parish life, and has been served by several dedicated musicians, both singers and instrumentalists alike.
Each respective choir at St. Mary’s has grown continuously over the years and currently, as a whole boasts over 100 members, including choristers and instrumentalists. In conjunction with the organ and piano, other instrumentalists include flute, trumpet, percussion and violin.
In addition to enhancing the Masses on the weekend, we have many other musical endeavours and liturgical celebrations including; Taizé Prayer, an annual Parish and School Community Christmas Concert raising funds for local charity, Divine Mercy Sunday, live re-enactment of the Stations of the Cross accompanied by our Youth Band, and many others.
Since 2014, the music ministry and parish choirs have been under the direction of Shannon Barks.
