This month, The Society of St. Vincent de Paul celebrates our founder, Blessed Frederick Ozanam.  Our annual collection (green envelopes) is today, September 18/19.  We are able to serve our clients only through the generosity of our parishioners.  We continue to provide gift cards from Giant Tiger where clients are able to purchase groceries.  Donations can be made by cheque payable to:  Society of St. Vincent de Paul, St. Mary's Conference. (This is a bank requirement) or through E-transfer to ssvpoffice@gmail.com or use the poor boxes in the church.  Tax receipts for green envelopes will be included in your St. Mary's receipt. Other receipts will be issued by SSVP. Please be sure to include your name and address on all donations.

On behalf of our Ministry and our clients thank you for your continued support and prayers.

The Meaning of Stewardship

Cardinal Thomas Collins’ Pastoral Letter on Stewardship is organized into four sections, with the first being The Meaning of Stewardship in the Christian Life. This section explores the reality that we are invited by God to be good stewards of His gifts. “If we truly have the spirit of stewardship, we will not let God’s gifts go to waste, and we will not selfishly cling to them, but use them graciously to serve others, and in doing so give glory to God.” To read the full pastoral letter, download resources, and learn more about deep stewardship, please www.archtoronto.org/stewardship.
