Wedding Anniversaries: LIVING AND CELEBRATING THE SACRAMENT OF MARRIAGE

2 wedding ringsThe expression a wedding lasts a day a marriage lasts a lifetime highlights the importance of celebrating and living marriage vows day after day. The married couples in our parish are a sign to us of God’s faithfulness and through their witness we are strengthened. If you celebrated a wedding anniversary in December we shall pray with you and share in your joy at all Sunday Masses on Sun., December 26th. Please join us in thanking God for the gift of the married couples in our midst.

Indigenous Peoples and the Church

Walking Together  Toward Healing & Reconciliation

every child mattersWe invite you to pray for the delegation that was to travel to Rome in December to meet with Pope Francis. The leaders of three Canadian Indigenous groups announced Tuesday that they have put a trip to the Vatican on hold due to concerns over the spread of the omicron variant of COVID-19. We pray that the delegation will be able to reschedule the trip for early 2022. Visit: www.cccb.ca

PRAYER FOR The Fourth Week of Advent

Advent wreath with 4 candles litBefore your family meal, light all four candles on your Advent wreath. If you do not have an Advent wreath you may light one or four candles before you pray.

Leader: God of all hope, you have chosen us to be a witness to your love. Help us and guide us in all that we do in your name.

May we rejoice in the coming of your Son.

All: Amen.

CHRISTMAS EVE

December 24 On Christmas Eve, the wreath can be renewed with new ribbon and the candles replaced with new white votives for use during the Christmas season.

Leader:  Lord Jesus, we approach that holy moment when Your coming as man is renewed in our hearts.

Give us peace and allow us to celebrate Your presence with joy,

that we may some day share Your glory.

We ask this of You, who live and reign with the Father and the Holy Spirit,

as one God, now and forever.

All: Amen.
