St. Mary's Youth Groups

Welcome to Youth Ministry at St. Mary’s Parish!  My name is Shannon Barks, and I have the privilege of working with our young people as the youth minister here at St. Mary's.  We have a ministry for all of our young people from J.K. through to Young Adult that meet regularly.  Youth ministry provides an opportunity for young people to encounter Christ in community, through the beauty of the Catholic church; in turn, these young people will transform their parish, school and culture.

We have four ministries here at St. Mary’s for our young people:  M.E.R.C.Y. for grades J.K. to Grade 4 that meets once a month on a Friday night from 6:00-7:30 p.m. We have EDGE for Grades 5-8 that also meets on a Friday night once a month.  Life Teen is for teens keen to deepen their faith.  Life Teen meets twice a month on a Sunday after the 4:00 p.m. Mass where we have dinner, followed by our Life Night.  Recently, we have just begun a new ministry for young adults, entitled, "Y.A.M." - young adult ministry.  Some of the events that we participate in include: Ultimate Frisbee Tournaments, Theology on Tap, Steubenville, Ohio Conference, Bible Camp and EDGE Camp.  Our young people connect in faith and fun!  Please see the schedules below for the dates for each respective ministry.
